Introducing "Fathom" the little sub with a big attitude

This incredible compact subwoofer named "Fathom" incororates new energy management techniques and construction to produce a truly unique active subwoofer.

A ‘unique’ outer shell in pre-stressed steel with phenomenal rigidity allows the low frequency energy to be driven into the room and not soaked up in the cabinet as is typical with more conventional particle board based designs. At only 240 x 240 x 300mm (9½” by 9½” by a foot high) the compact dimensions allows easy placement, and as the name suggests the Fathom goes deep to below 30hz.

To achieve this incredible depth an 8” downwards firing drive unit is employed and driven with a 100w amplifier allowing an impressive 105db SPL level. If you are using an AV processor / amplifier the Fathom has a dedicated low pass filter connecting to the LFE channel.

A professional quality ‘Neutrik’ connector (optional lead) may be used to connect to the loudspeaker output of any stereo power amplifier, along side the LFE connection, for music listening. There is crossover frequency adjustment from 240khz to 40hz (+/- 3db) as well as continuously variable phase control to precisely match the room and speakers to the Fathom.

Designed to harmonise with ‘Stands Unique’ furniture & speaker range the Fathom is available in an attractive silver grey hardwearing metallic finish. Our side tables make ideal homes for the Fathom to nestle into, but due to the Fathom’s diminutive proportions it can easily be tucked out of sight or stand proudly as a feature on it’s own.

Please note the high level professional quality ‘Neutrik’ connector lead is available at an extra cost of £24.95 (UKP) this connector is recommended if music listening is a priority. The Fathom comes supplied with a 5m long RCA -RCA lead to connect to the 'sub' out on the AV processor/amplifier.
